Rad
there is a Moore  interview on spiegel.de
german version:
http://www.spiegel.de/kultur/gesellschaft/0,1518,222953,00.html
than I used google's http site translation and
now I have this url for the translation
http://216.239.39.120/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&langpair=de%7Cen&u=http://www.spiegel.de/kultur/gesellschaft/0,1518,222953,00.html
I am not sure if it works - seems to be beta version .
As far as I can see it only translate half of it.
So I tried to put part2 on a seperate page and let google do
the translation .
the url is
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2F195.74.192.154%2F%7Ealilip%2Fmoore_interview_teil2.html&langpair=de%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools
Not formated but readable.
Enjoy  :)

What was Ted   ???
http://radified.com/index2.html
doing on Dec the 7th?
Could you give more details ?

Ted was being his normal anti-technology self. He doesn't like James Bond or anything that espouses the glories of technology.

Thats funny,
when you mentioned that
cabin in the woods
the other day
Ted appeared out of my longterm storage.
As far as I know he isn't a vegetarian. ;)
but a fan of Thoreau

Ah, good association.

Sharon lives in the woods, but there are houses & ppl all around her. No one lived near Ted (so he could test his explosives).

At the Huntington library in Pasadena, I saw several pages of Thoreau's  actuall hand-written revision, in a case under glass.

Also Montana is a long way from anywhere.

I think Meryl Streep's film  Wild Rivers
http://us.imdb.com/Title?0110997
had some phantastic locations there.
But southland is only 11 hours away from EU.

At the Huntington I found out that
strawberries also grow on trees.Very nice place.
Unfortuntaly I didn't visit their  library  - their botanical
garden is too big to see in one day.
And I really liked their japanese garden

:)

So you've been.

I love the Huntington. Plan to return soon. (Sharon has never been.)

Yes, I agree that the gardens are better than the library (for all its glory).

The Huntington
only opens halfdays or about 4.5 hours
and charge $10 per adult  :(
No parking fee.
And Charlie Monger donates lots of money to that place.

Has Sharon seen the Getty ?
There are now 2 Gettys
The museum :http://www.getty.edu/museum/about.html

where you park at the bottom of the hill
and ride a tram to the Akropolis of the Getty Museum.
View is fantastic - waiting till sunset recommended. 8)
Reservation necessary for parking execpt for saturdays afternoon or so.
And don't take any sharp things with you - they collect it
before you pass the gate to the tram. ;D

Haven't seen the new Getty Villa (they did some renovations)
Old one was nice - good restaurant as well.

You are quite the cultured man-about-town.  :)

Yeah, Sharon has seen the Getty. We talked about that. She took her folks when they visited from Michigan.

Didn't know about the other Getty. I went a couple of years ago with the Dog.

The smoggy sunset was gorgeous.  :)

BTW

                M.Moore also wrote a book:
                     STUPID WHITE MEN

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0060392452/qid=1045002596/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/104-0843655-4848749?v=glance&s=books

              A paperback edition by Penguin
just hit the bookshops in Europe.
              Selling out like pancakes. :)

The trailers on the website, and the small movie clips alone make me not able to wait for this to come out on DVD!
