Amazing that they can get such clear/large shots from a (moving) helicopter.

Heisler park is ~5 mins away (walking).

Rad , have you been to Morro Rock- Morro Bay ?
Normally you only can see that piece of rock
from the landside.
I alway wondered what it looked like on the westside
(seaside)

Yeah, I've driven by Morro bay many times on the way to Big Sur & Monterey. Never stoped tho. Always in a hurry to get to my destination. Looks like a great place to explore. Do they let you walk around? Isn't there some kind of government facility out there?

No its not possible to walk around.
On the southside you can watch the waves come in.
Really big waves - that come even over the breakwater
barrier to the south of MR.
Parking is to the east of MR - you can count the cars on those
pics. They are all watching the surfer there.
Climbing MR is forbidden and is seem to be a paradies
for all the seabirds.
Unfortunatly (a tourist would say that) they built a
powerplant really close to MR.
On ne side of MR you can see their waterintake.
The only gov installation I know of is a big prison some miles
south of MB.

OKay, maybe I was thinking of the power plant. Seems like a dumb place to put a power plant. If I remember correctly, there doesn't seem to be much in the area.

I just saw PF two nights ago! Love that movie. Think it was on Cinemax. So many great lines .. like "Gonna get medieval on yer ass". :D
