Right, i am looking for a stress/load-testing for server applications, preferably freeware if possible. If you know of any, or anywhere to find some - please please reply!!!

What components do you want to test? CPU? Memory? Hard disk? Network?

I may be on another page here but if not I can say I do remember "system mechanic" demo has a cpu load test facility of some sort I believe and , lemme look at some possible linx for this maybe...
