Title: Too many Images-Which ones to delete?
Post by Smokin Joe on Jul 26th, 2006 at 6:56am
I have 21 "Symantec Image File's" on my external HD. These run from 17,000,000KB to 65,000KB. Dated from 7-2 to 7-25.

I am not sure which ones to delete. I do know that the external hd has 8.9GB more than the internal hd it is "Imaging".
All help appreciated!

smoke, if you list them all (with dates & sizes), it would easier to see exactly what you got.

typically you delete the oldest images first.

which version of ghost are we talking about?

Rad, we are talking Ghost 10. The 17Mil. one is the one for the first image of my complete C drive and the others followed it. I think there is a way to set it to delete the older ones automaticly but I haven't figured  out yet, how to set it to do that.
Would it be right to assume, I could delete all in between the "big" one and the last one. They are all over the map size wise.
Thanks for your time,
Smoke

Smokin Joe, please see the section "Automating management of recovery point storage" (page 78+) in the Norton Ghost 10.0 User's Guide.
