Title: Booting BartsPE or Ghost 9 or 10 RE from HDD Post by NightOwl on Jul 29th, 2006 at 12:41pm
To all
This may have already been answered somewhere else--I have a vague sense that I've either asked this--or saw that someone asked it--but I can't find the thread with an answer--so I'm asking: I'm working on an imaging/recovery scenario--it really is ideal only for DOS where one can run Ghost from a *command line* to perform various tasks--without a command line ability, Ghost 9 or 10 really will not allow for much in the way of *automation*--but I'm still curious if one can place a WinPE based boot CD (such as BartsPE or Ghost's RE) boot sector on a HDD partition and have it boot to the PE GUI? Anyone have any ideas or answers on this--would appreciate the feedback--and sorry if I have already been informed of the answer--I'm just blanking out, if so! |

NightOwl,
http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/faq/ See "Can I run BartPE from my harddisk where Windows 2000/XP/2003 is already installed?" I haven't tried this so I don't know if it will suit you. |
