Not too many folks here have Ghost Solution Suite 1.1.1, but I hope it is similar to Ghost 8.x and Ghost 2003...

What Ghost boot disk have you created--Ghost Boot Wizard has multiple options--which did you choose?

Beginning with Ghost 8.x, the DOS Ghost program has DOS USB drivers for HDD's built-in--don't have to load separate DOS drivers, but I do not know if that device support extends to USB DVD optical writers.

It's normal to see those errors occur during boot when using the Ghost boot disk with optical CD and DVD support--if you do not have the various optical drives to which they belong, then the loading of the various optical drivers report that that type of drive or controller was not found.  Most of the errors you reported are for SCSI drives.

You will have to help out with these--do you recognize these items from your system?

Again, expect the errors for the device types not present--but can you *see* the Samsung as a source or destination device in the DOS Ghost interface once booted to Ghost?

I had tried with Standard Boot disk as well as CD/DVD drivers for Dos.
The samsung drive is shown in Destination drive.

If Ghost does not recognize your Sony drive as a *destination*, that would mean you will not be able to use it for Ghost writing an image to optical media in it--Ghost must have built-in native support for optical writing.

If you do not see the Sony drive as a source drive, then it would seem that Ghost Solution Suite does not have built-in ability to mount and assign drive letters to a USB optical drive--you might be able to use a third party USB DOS driver for access to the USB optical drive--see here:

A Better USB 2.0 DOS Driver for Ghost + More!

and in particular--this reference tells you how to use a DOS driver for USB optical drives:

Yes, there are USB drivers for DOS...

I think you would have to start Ghost with a switch to disable the built-in USB driver if you want to use the Panasonic DOS USB driver--so start Ghost with the command line:

ghost.exe -nousb

Hi,

Now I am using windows 98 Startup Disk to boot and using dvd that contains Ghost.exe file.when i am trying to write image to the DVD it was asking for CD only. I am using Sony DVD writer. There is any other alternative for this. I think the problem is with the  ghost only. Is, Ghost doedn't support for Writing image to DVD.
Probably what is the reason

My Ghost 2003 program will write to either CD or DVD on my  DVD optical writer (Plextor--PX-708A)--but your optical drive may not be supported by Ghost--it has to be compatible--Ghost has to correctly recognize the abilities of your drive.

Even though the program asks for a *CD*--have you tried feeding it a DVD--does it work okay?

I had kept the DVD and then choosing the option Image to DVD, then also it was asking for CD.

I'm not sure I follow your above response.

When I tell Ghost to use my optical drive as the *destination* for an image file by selecting the drive as the destination--Ghost then asks for *blank* media when the time comes (or, if it's RW media, it will warn that it will erase the media if data is already on the disk), but I don't get the option to choose CD or DVD--the optical drive takes care of identifying which media is present and proceeds to record the image on the optical media.

(As a side note--once a media type has been selected, CD or DVD, I found that you can not change media types if Ghost needs to place image files on additional discs--must continue with same type of media as you started with.)

What is happening in your situation?
