With NIS2002 I had two seperate icons in taskbar, one for IS and one for virusscanner. With NIS 2007 you get the Norton Protection Center icon. I prefered to work with seperate icons (it's easier to disable) so I put the icons for IS and for the virusscanner on my task bar. I would like to get rid of the Protection center icon but can't find a way to do it. I change the option for the icon to 'always hide' but after every start-up it is back again. I asked Symantec but no answer.
