Just bought an 80 GB Hitachi HTS541280H9AT00 USB Device.

Everytime I plug the dev, Ghost 10 always recommended me to use the external HD to store its recovery points. But, I just use the external HD only if I need it.

I'll use the new external HD for archive purpose. Is it a good decision?

backing up to a physically separate drive is a good idea for reasons stated here:
