It turns out that although the Ghost 2003 LiveUpdate was pulled from the normal LiveUpdate servers, the folks who manage the service still have it on a secondary server they use for older products. There is a process for telling LiveUpdate to get the code from the alternate server documented at this page. The main thing that you need is an alternate settings file for LiveUpdate that knows the names of the alternate servers.
