Hi,
I have been using the Ghost Utilities to make Drive Mapping boot floppy disks for years. Newer computers don't have floppies so I would like to boot to usb or cdrom. I have tried the obvious: make the floppy and then create a bootable cdrom based on the floppy using Nero or EZcd. The cd boots OK and gets you to the network user login and then errors out after you enter your password. My guess is, it normally writes something to the floppy at this point, but since it is a cdrom emulating a floppy, it cannot write to the cdrom and errors out. Thus I thought if I could somehow make a bootable usb stick based on my drive mapping floppy, that might work since the system can write to the usb stick. Any help would be appreciated. (this is not a peer to peer boot disk, this is the Drive Mapping boot disk) Cheers RWS |
