Title: Norton 360 vs Norton Ghost 14
Post by Sean on Mar 24th, 2008 at 12:13am
I have Norton 360 licensed version. I have downloaded Norton Ghost 14 (trial version) recently. I have two queries regarding Norton Ghost 14 with respect to Norton 360:
1. How is the backup feature of Norton Ghost 14 different from Norton 360? I am interested in taking an image of my C:
2. If I have multiple user profiles on my PC, does Norton Ghost 14 backup all profiles when I do a backup of C: ?

Q1: You might be our first Norton 360 user. I don't have/use N360, so can't speak with authority, but from research, it seems N360 does NOT create an image (now called a Recovery Point).

What is the file extention of the back-up created by N360? Any info you can provide about the back-up capabilities of N360 would be helpful and appreciated.

Q2: Yeah. Anything on the partition you back-up ("image") with Ghost is backed-up. Can't get any more comprehensive.

This guide on Norton Ghost 12 should also apply to Norton Ghost 14: http://nortonghost.radified.com/
