One of the first impulses on being handed an alien password is to convert it into something memorable. I went directly to the user CP, but found nothing which allowed a change of PW.

User CP > Profile > Edit Profile > (Confirm Password) > Choose New Password: (Only fill this in if you want to change your password)

We are using a template designed for an earlier version of YaBB (cuz I like the way it looks), so things might not be located where designers of YaBB v2.2.1 intended them to be. (un-intuitive)

Can you navigate to here?

Are you using the default blk_gry3d design template?

I tried it with my non-admin acct .. just to make sure.

It works same as admin acct.

Once you enter your password (confirm), it takes you to the page where you can change it.

Ya, I always change my pw. Lots of sites let you set your own, up front. Current method seems to be doing a good job at keeping out the riffraff. Makes our job easier, more pleasant.

Thanks for the breadcrumb trail to the pw change option. All has been taken care of, now-- and I have a pw I can remember.
