Title: Earthquake! Post by Rad on Jul 29th, 2008 at 1:47pm
Just had an earthquake .. here in SoCal (Orange county).
Serious jolt. ~8-10 secs. Wow. That was a good one. Always feels like a bulldozer is outside, trying to knock down the building. Not sure why (intuition?), but it left me with the feeling a bigger one was to follow .. tho not sure when. (2 weeks to 6 months?) |

Fox news is all over it. I hope everyone stays safe and there's no injuries. California: wildfires and earthquakes.
Hey, I just read the Unbuntu post on the front page. It's the second time today I've seen it being discussed. Whada ya think? I wonder if I'm tuff enough for something like that. I don't like gettin' slapped around, you know. -Joe |

Linux has come a long way. It's very cool now. Dual-booting lets you play when you want. Can't go wrong trying. Do you use wireless? |

No, I'm hardwired with cable. I've had a little experience with wireless, tho, when I was displaced by Katrina. If configuring the wireless was the worst of your troubles, maybe I could handle it. I found the thread where you're blazing the trail for us. http://radified.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1217103795 |

What did I miss?
How did we get from Earthquakes to 'Wireless'. I've never lived in So-Cal, but I'm not completely new to earthquakes. We had them in Illinois too. Then I moved to Florida, ready to deal with Hurricanes, but I found out we have earthquakes here too. Is there anyplace on earth (this earth anyway) that's completely earthquake free? :-/ 8-) |
