I tried a disk backup using GSS 11.0.1 run from Winpe 2.0. When I tried to verify the image, it failed with a msg that the header is wrong.
When I tried Ghose 8.0 from BartPE runs like a champ. Also, the speed is much higher than with Winpe. This is a lesson I learnt to keep multiple solutions on hand. Acer could have included a restore CD with the machine. You can order one for $19.99. ASUS provides a restore cd with their netbooks. |
