Title: If I have windows 7 pro, do I need norton ghost

I've used ghost for years, and it has saved my bacon more than once. I now have windows 7 pro, which has built in imaging and network backup. What is the communities view of why I should still invest in norton ghost 15? :-/

If Win7 has a functional solution--why bother with something else--as long as it does what you need and has the functionality you want!

It appears that the windows imaging solution deletes all the partitions of a disk when you attempt to restore any one partition. :-[  I did not verify this personally, the information comes from this thread http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/675-system-image-recovery.html

@ polycue

I know nothing about the Win7 imaging app. Do you have any more info?

Lets try this again. I too have windows 7 pro. Is there a compelling reason for me to buy Norton ghost 15 if my need is backup and recovery?

If polycue is correct and "the windows imaging solution deletes all the partitions of a disk when you attempt to restore any one partition" then that app would be useless as far as my computer is concerned.
