Title: Any traps in uninstalling Ghost 14 and installing Ghost 15 Post by BJB on Aug 24th, 2010 at 7:16pm
I am finally getting around to uninstalling Ghost 14 and installing Ghost 15. I have used 15 several times from the boot disk performing clean-but full images with good success.
However I need to do some incremental backups so need to install it. Ghost 14 was such a pain to install and update (remember the disappearing optical drives?) that I wonder if there are any booby traps in uninstalling Ghost 14. Symantec products always seem to be a bear to uninstall. Does uninstalling Ghost 14 uninstall that wonderful live update component or is that separate? And then, if I uninstall 14, does it remember my backup library for when I install 15 or do I need to move it and then copy back? Finally, any tips on installing Ghost 15? Is the liveupdate feature any more reliable? Thanks, BJB |

@ BJB
I just uninstalled 14 and installed 15. No issues with either. Then do the Live Update to SP1. Others used the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall 14. Not too sure why. |
