Hi, I have a problem with Norton Ghost 9, which I have used for some 6 years. When I try to open it I get a message "Error Creating View Configuration System Failed to Initialize" together with the dialogue below.
I am using XP Pro Avast anti virus and Zone Alarm, has anyone any idea what's going on?....Sam Stuart

I've no idea what is causing these errors. Do you have a backup image taken prior to these errors commencing? That's what I do. Restore a good image.

Brian, if I could open ghost to restore a backup I wouldn't need help, can't get into the prog at all,....sam

That's not how you restore a Ghost image. You don't need to get into the program at all.

Boot from the Ghost CD and follow the restore procedure.
