To All

If you are not aware of this news item, you may want to read this!

And if you're not sure you have registered your email address at one of these sites:  Gawker.com, Lifehacker, Gizmodo, Jezebel, io9, Jalopnik, Kotaku, Deadspin and Fleshbot.com , then you may want to check to see if your email address is among the 1.3 million accounts that were compromised:  Enter your username or email address to
see if you were affected by the Gawker hack

Weekend attack on Gawker.com and sister websites, including Lifehacker and Gizmodo, may have exposed your users. Here's what to do -- now

It should be apparent that one should not use the same email and password for various websites--if someone is determined to compromise the security setup on one site--well, then all those websites that have that *shared* email and password will be equally compromised--for instance your email account, your admin account on your own website, bank account, etc......of course they have to *guess* at what other websites you use, but.....if it's one of the *biggies* such as Pay Pal, Amazon, or major banks, etc.--you have to assume hackers will try them all to see what *hits* they will get!!

Here's additional commentary on what happened:  The Real Lessons Of Gawker’s Security Mess
