Title: Does Ghost now sppt creating images from bootable CD?

Does the new version of Ghost now support creating images from a bootable CD?

If so, how does that work? (do you have to create your own? etc.)

What, if any anti-piracy features are they using?

What is the first version of Ghost to sppt this feature?

Thought I read somewhere (here, maybe) that Ghost 15 sppt this.

Rad,

Ghost 15 is the first "hot" Ghost to support cold imaging from the standard recovery CD. You have to enter your Ghost serial number to get into the cold imaging section but if you have made a custom CD the disc will already have your serial number and it doesn't have to be entered manually.

So it is now possible to do a cold image of an OS that doesn't have Ghost 15 installed.

Copy Drive (cloning) is not available from the recovery CD. It has to be done from Windows.

Symantec has a recovery CD download but you can't create a cold image unless you have a serial number.

Okay, thanks Brian.

That's kinda what I thought.

I never had a problem, but always felt funny about creating an image from a different environment from the one from which I might have to use to restore.
