I've now seen two different recent postings--one that was a *legit* topic, and now one that was *spam*, that showed over 200-300 views in less than 12 hours time.

That just doesn't strike me as a *normal*! Those numbers are greater than the number of members and guests that have visited by a factor of 2 or 3 for that same time period.

Is there a glitch in the forum software--or other explanation? Minor deal, but strange behavior!

Weird.

They post spam and then send all their friends to go check it out? [smiley=smiley.gif]

I *have* noticed increased visitor traffic. If I notice it agan, I'll trace a few of the IPs and see if we can determine where they're coming from.

No glitch that I know of.

I actually have YaBB 2.5 installed already. Just have not yet converted the posts and user accounts over.

Heck, I just noticed that *this* post has 137 views. That seems high, no?

Yeah--maybe! Usually the forum notices don't draw as much attention as other posts.
