I recently replaced my XP computer with a Win 7. I have Norton Ghost 15 on my new computerand I would like to download some files from my previous backup drive. When I try to access my old drive which is connected via a USB port, Norton ghost only dispalys the backups from my new backup drive even though it is not currently powered. Any suggestions?

Hi Billb,

What sort of Ghost backups are from the old computer? File and Folder backups or images of partitions (.v2i files)?

I had 4 drive images.

I don't like using the Ghost history as I find it confusing. As you have found. Using Windows Explorer, browse to your external HD, right click on the relevant .v2i file, click Mount, accept the drive letter. Now you can Copy/Paste files and folders from the mounted image.
