i have searched the archive here and the internet.

i have 9 desktops and 3 laptops.

it would be nice to have an Xp image that i could use for a new install on different hardware.

I use TBOSDT Pro for this job. It works with any imaging app.

I've restored laptop images to desktops and vice versa. The OS boots but in general I haven't bothered to run the Microsoft Activation.
