Forgive my english,
Norton Ghost version 9 does not recognize my sata drives when I want to restore my drive. Well you can when starting Norton Ghost to press F6 to add additional drivers, if I do this and Norton Ghost asks for the diskette, he can not find the external flopydrive and therefore it works not. The Norton Ghoost CD I copied to an external HD in a primary and active partition. That way I can let Norton Ghost boot off the external HD and so far it worked fine. However, now with a new Sata HD that does not work anymore. Well I heard thate you can add extra sata drivers to the CD so that Norton no longer needs F6. This could be done by a number of files to adjust, where under "txtsetup.sif" and "viamraid.sys" My question is, how to do this exactly ? My sata drivers are; Intel AHCI Raid 32 bits, with the following files it in; F6Readme.txt iaahci.cat iaAHCI.inf iastor.cat iaStor.inf iaStor.sys license.txt TXTSETUP.OEM Sata Marvell 6 G 32 bits, with the following files it in; mv91cons.inf mv91cons.sys mv91xx.cat mv91xx.inf mv91xx.sys mv91xxm.dll mvxxmm.sys TXTSETUP.OEM Who knows counsel and previsously my heartfelt thanks! |
