Request for the Rad Chili Recipe
Apr 4th, 2002 at 7:15pm

Howdy all!

If Rad happens to read this, I was wondering if he would share the chili recipe that he talked about in the last month.  I got all pumped up when he described it and then the chili link went to a google search and not the recipe....doh!

No rush though, Rad, I'll let you cool down after the marathon CD-ripping session.  But it would look great next to the nuclear-grade stew Wink

I will post the triple-top-secret Rad chili recipe, but it will take me some time.

A few tips before I do are:

* fresh ingrediants .. this alone makes a big difference
* crock pot for long, slow cooking
* rib meat .. ~ 1.5-2 lbs .. brown in pan with chili powder .. a few bones are okay .. remove at end when you add the beans.
* black beans instead of the more traditional red kidney beans .. added at the very end so they don't disintegrate
* lots of different hot peppers, to 'layer' the heat
* 1/2 bottle Mexican beer
* cilantro & cumin
* scrape the corn off an ear (or two) of white corn

Too much chili powder makes you fart.
Add tortilla chips to piping hot bowl, sprinkle with shreaded cheddar cheeze, salt, two dashes of tabasco.
A bowl should make you sweat, but not cry. If you hear angels sing, you done good.  Smiley
