I have heard in windows xp (HE)

That it is very difficult to grant admin rights in the normal desktop phase and people have reccomended you go into safe mode.  However, I need access to it here because it deals with peripheral software (My printer driver got corrupted somehow).

Does anybody know how to make my account the admin in the non-safe mode version of win xp home edition sp1?

Why don't you just log in as 'Administrator'? or as a user with Administrator rights?

Is this not your computer? Why wouldn't you have admin rights?
