Forum registration feature should be working again
Feb 22nd, 2006 at 7:15pm

The nice folks at Lunarpages have imported my old MySQL database files from the old site, so the forum's registration feature should be working again.

I noticed someone registered today with the user-name, apignarb, so it appears to be working.

Lemme know if you notice any persistent quirkiness.

We may be converting to vBulletin, later.

I am not sure of this, but if Rad replaced the data base, then you should try registering again--because the old information should no longer be there.

No question is stupid...but, possibly the answers are  Wink !
(This is an old *NightOwl* user account--not in current use.  Current account is NightOwl without a dash at the end.)

Nope. It says that email is already in use. I just never got the stupid password it was supposed to send over two weeks ago and the forgotten password form isnt working either. Someone just delete the stupid account "AnonymousCoward" and I'll re-register.

Hi there folks.

New guy here tried registration yesterday and today.  No password sent. Today, the System recognized my name and email as already in use.

I'm gonna dive in anyway...

Now I can't send this cause this name + or email are taken...

Will try changing them.

Same problem here. No email and I only registered a day or two ago, from what I remember (username: Artstar).

Help?  Undecided

okay, for artstar, saltydog and anoncoward, i changed your passwords for your original user names that you used to register to the word "password" .. all lower case.

you should be able to log-in and change your pw to wahtever you like.

they ae correct about the enails not being sent .. cuz the new host uses different stmp server name .. old was stmp.radified.com ..now is mail.radified.com

would be so much easier if everybody used same format.

so i need to find and change reference for that.

i'll also annoate the agreement until i fix.

I am not getting anything of the original email.
Forgot password form produces nothing as well.

I changed the "send mail" method from SMTP to "sendmail".

http://www.sendmail.org/

The new mail server requires SMTP (outgoing) authentication, and I don't see any way to configure that setting in the forum's config file. So perhaps that is the source of the problem.??

Any difference?

Do you or your email host have any type of auto-filtering (spam filter)?

My registered persona can't post.

Maybe I need to change password to regain that function?
