I'm new so bear with me please. I have win xp pro and trying to clone the drive. All it has on it is the op system and a few programs(photoshop/corel 10). I followed the instructions and copyed the drive to the slave drive. Then took that drive out (slave) changed it to master then put it in the new machine. It starts to load then hangs up at the welcome screen and will not go on. Is xp pro not cloanable or did I do something wrong. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Did you Copy into a formatted partition with a drive letter rather than into Unallocated Space? You need to do the latter.

You can fix your current situation with Method #3.

PS  Did you put the "cloned" HD back into the original computer or into a different computer?
