Ghost 8.0 and Automation
Sep 5th, 2006 at 3:35pm

Hello everyone!

I have a question regarding automation in ghost.  I know that you can start existing tasks through ngcons.exe and ngctw32.exe.  I also know that you can start a GhostCast Server with any options that you want.  What I need to do is get the remote machine to shut down and restart into PC DOS and start the imaging process.  I need to push and pull an image this way.

Ah...I did quite a bit of searching the forums before making a post.  of course I was looking for things like "automation". Tongue
It seems like there would be a much easier way of getting this to work without creating another partition and dual booting.  I'm using Ghost's Virtual partitions to update anyhow, I don't mind using it here either.

Its done behind the scenes by the Ghost Console somehow.  I suppose thats my actual question.  I'm not really looking for an extremely technical answer either.  Something along the lines of an example would be the ideal response.   Grin
