I just tried to back up the C drive of my new laptop for the first time, and it came up with an error once the process completed.

My secondary partition, which I am backing up to is NTFS and it is by the drive letter E. (My CD drive is D). I hope the drive letter is not what is causing the problem. I really doubt it though.

I thought maybe it was a problem only with Ghost, so I tried acronis True Image...and that didn't work either for the same reason.

Then I did something I should've done in the first place and run chkdisk and scan disk which replaced the bad sectors ghost could not read and now it is working fine.
