“Restoring Ghost 9 Images to SAS & SATA Hard Drives”.
Hello Brian,
You will recall my recent discussions with you under the posting “Integrating SATA Drivers in Ghost 9 CD “in the link

Your assistance helped me modify the Ghost 9 CD thus enabling me to successfully restore Ghost Images to my Dell Precision 390 which had a SATA Boot Hard Drive. It’s been working fine.
Now, I have another project I am working on and would like your advice. I have order a an additional second Dell Precision 390 PC with a PERC 5/I Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) Raid Controller Card and a 73GB 15,000 RPM SAS Fujitsu Hard Drive.
My Plans are to do some modification to both my systems as follows:
1.
Move and install the new SAS Controller Card and Hard Drive to my existing 1st Precision 390. At first this will be install as a non-raid second drive (not as boot drive).
2.
After installing and recognition by Windows XP and possible Bios changes, I will Ghost an image from the existing SATA Boot Drive.
3.
Then, I plan to restore this same image to the new SAS drive which will not yet be set as the boot drive.
4.
After restoring the image, I will go into the bios and set the SAS drive as the boot drive and hope to successfully boot up on the new SAS drive.
I would appreciate any comments your have on the procedure. However, my main concern is if I will be able to see both destination drives (SAS and SATA) during the Ghost 9 Restore procedure. I will be restoring from a USB Hard Drive and plan to use to modified Ghost 9 CD I prepared with your help detailed in the link
