Symantec Signs Agreement With Autonomy

Interesting.  What does “use Autonomy's technology in its [Symantec’s] products” mean?  One hypothesis is that Symantec intends to enhance its capabilities in the areas of retrieval and clustering of unstructured information – perhaps a natural extension of its emphasis on data backup and data integrity.

I have had the opportunity to look at the Autonomy products.  They are quite impressive.  See here to learn more.

i agree, this bodes well for symantec products.

any company with the word autonomy in its title is fine by me.  Smiley
