This is, admittedly, not a purely technical question.
For a long time I've been interested in the notiion of restoring a Ghost image to a different machine.  You know, you get a Ghost image on your Dell PC and you buy a new HP machine.  Wouldn't it be great if I could just restore the image I took off the Dell onto the HP?  At least I think it would be great.

I saw this product called Symantec Backup Exec Desktop Edition.  In fact, I bought

I got it.  I read the sparse documentation, and it looked like what I needed.
Then I had this awakening that I may have bought Media only.  On other words, what I bought was USELESS.  If I am understanding things correctly, I need to supplement this bargain with LICENSE(S).

Does anyone know about this?  Am I right?
And, if I am right, can anyone suggest where I might find such licenses, or how much they cost?  etc.
