I assume from your question that you didn't purchase the retail version since the Recovery CD and the install CD are one in the same.
Did you download the trial version from the Symantec website? If so, then when (or after) you purchased Ghost 12, you should have gotten a download link from Symantec on how to download the iso image of the Recovery CD. If you didn't get the link, I would contact Symantec customer service.
The Recovery CD is not available as a trial.

Thanks Ghost4me!
So it is not possible to test the whole process of recovery before buying?
Any other way to get around the recovery process before buying?

No there isn't, but I believe Symantec has a 30 day money back guarantee. Most of the function is in the backup, not the emerency recovery CD, so you can easily decide if it works for you.
Consider this: Why would anyone actually purchase Ghost 12 if you could "try" the product anytime you wanted to, and boot from the emergency boot CD anytime there was a problem?
As a company I think you would go broke with a free policy like that.
Are you having any problems during your testing? Can you give us some information on how you like Ghost during your testing and evaluation?

Yes!
1. First of all, suppose Vista is running properly, but due to some reason, I want to go back to a certain recovery point, -> how to do (if I don't have a reovery CD for this test)?
2. what if Vista is totally crashed, how can I recover Vista (if I don't have a recovery CD for this test) ?

You have to purchase Ghost 12 to get the emergency Recovery Cd.

That's my understanding. I can't find the quote at the moment from their website.
If Symantec allowed it, anytime a customer wanted to upgrade his hard drive to a larger drive (a common event), the customer would just "try" Ghost 12, and then "try" the emergency Recovery CD restore process on his new hard drive.
Why would anyone ever actually buy Ghost xx?
You also have to activate to get the copy drive function.
From the
Ghost 12 User Guide
:
Quote:
When you delay licensing
If you choose to delay installation of the product license (for a maximum of 30
days from the date of installation), the following features are unavailable until
you install a valid license:
■ Copy Drive
■ LightsOut Restore
■ Convert to Virtual Disk
All other features are enabled during the 30 day grace period.
If you are using an Evaluation copy of the product, it also expires after 30 days.
However, all features are enabled until the end of the evaluation period, at which
time you must purchase the product or uninstall it. You can purchase a license at
any time (even after the evaluation period expires) without reinstalling the
software.
