File Browsing Problem Ghost 10.0
Mar 3rd, 2008 at 2:05am

Can anyone help with the following problem using v10.0 in WindowsXP?

After selecting a recovery point and clicking on the Browse Files button:

1. The Browse Files window appears.
2. There is activity on the external recovery drive.
3. An hourglass appears in the Browse Files window.
4. No file names ever appear.
5. The application hogs the system so that a reset is required.

Thanks

Len, can you mount a recovery point as a virtual drive? Right click the recovery point in Windows Explorer, click Mount, accept the drive letter. I don't use the Recovery Point Browser. I prefer to Mount the image.

Hi Brian.  Thanks for the sugestion on an alternative operation.  I would like to stay within the standard operation (use the Recovery Point Browser).  Any other ideas on what is causing the problem?

Not really. Some of these obscure problems are resolved by uninstalling Ghost, running the Removal tool and reinstalling Ghost.
