Have you noticed all the here this past week? Right now, for example, I see listed. Two days ago the record was set .. at . That's a lot of search engines.

Wonder why the jump? We normally have between 50 and 100 .. if my memory is correct, and sometimes it even drops below that .. tho not for very long.

A review of the number of TCP Sockets (usually between 30 and 40) would suggest most search engines come and quickly go .. rather than stay long periods (index'ing threads):

.. tho I am seeing an increased number of pronounced spikes between 40 and 50 (six in the last 12-hour period) .. tho, none of these spikes exceed 50 .. and the graph never drops below 30 .. no matter how far back I look.
