Web Hosting reccomendations?

Rad,

I wondered if you could give me some advice or pointer links to find a Web Hosting site located here in Southern California?

I'm looking for one to support a small hobby club website, around 100MB of content (mostly pictures, documents), no databases, and not that busy. Would prefer to not have to put up with banner ads.

Of course I remember lunarpages, which has very fast response time from my location, but searching for "web hosting" with Google is overwhelming to choose one.

Any guidelines?

Lunarpages would be good .. long as it doesn't get too busy.

Dreamhost is probably the king of Shared webhosting.

Both are here in SoCal.

Julie likes iPower .. tho I don't know where they are.

I could host you, long as you don't mind working on the steep slopes of learning curve with me .. since I've never hosted anyone before. But the new VPS is set up for hosting. (We even have our own name servers.)

You already have the domain name?
