Unable to create recovery point set

Newbie here. Running Norton Ghost 10 on XP SP2. I got a new external myBook, and wanted to make it the target for my backups. It's all set, except now, my "C" drive won't let me create a new Backup "set" on the external drive, just an Independent copy. When in the wizard, the wondow that shows available drives, the icon for drive "c" looks like there is "stale" recovery point schedule information.
If I try to combine drives in a backup, only independent copy is allowed, because it says one of the drives is still part of an existing backup set.
How can I "clean up" any "residue" that is saying there is a backup set, that isn't?
Thanks a ton...

Hi, Thanks, not sure what you mean. The external drive is working fine. I now have C and D as internal drives, and I as my external drive. When I attempt to define a backup for "C", using the define backup wizard, it will only let me create an Independent Recovery point, not a Recovery point set - that option is greyed out. Ghost is saying that the recovery point set option is disabled, because you have already assigned the selected drive to an existing recovery point set. There must be a file hanging around somewhere that I need to modify or delete. Any ideas?

Hi - thanks for trying to help. I un-installed Ghost, then reinstalled it, and I was able to create new recovery points, for both internal drives as I had wanted to do.
