“The author would like to thank Nigel Bree”

I was recently looking at Peter Gutmann’s famous paper
Secure Deletion of Data from Magnetic and Solid-State Memory
again, and noticed the following comment:
Quote:
The author would like to thank
Nigel Bree
, Peter Fenwick, Andy Hospodor, Kevin Martinez, Colin Plumb, and Charles Preston for their advice and input during the preparation of this paper.
That’s impressive!
This forum appears to attract exceedingly well-qualified personnel.

Yes, it is. Thanks for the post, Pleo.
Congrats to Nigel. (I noticed he was listed first.)

The names are in alphabetical order.
The two most important would be
Dr. Peter Fenwick
who was Peter Gutmann's supervisor for his Master's thesis (and an excellent teacher), and Colin Plumb, a very smart guy based in the US who collaborated with Peter Gutmann on cryptographic code.
