Bootable DVD
Oct 22nd, 2008 at 9:10pm

I have been trying to Create a bootable DVD for 3days now using your method. I have followed it exactly and the first attempt I was successful but every other attempt has been failures. I dont understand why. I used nero 7 and the other software described in your guide. But it simply does not work neither on dvd or cd. What could be causing this?

Well--there are so many possible places along the way where a false step could trip you up--can you offer something more specific as to what seems to be failing in the process--when do you discover that procedure has not worked....any error messages....

I get no error msg..The disk simply does not boot at all. And yet the first one that I did works fine..I even deleted everthing I downloaded in regards to the boot and started from scratch and no luck.

Well, the fact that you were successful once suggests that there must be some small step you are overlooking--it's impossible to guess what it might be without looking over your shoulder...

Ok...I got it to work...It seems that my error was converting the disk to 2.88 for some reason it does not work. However, If I leave 1.44MB it works fine.. I ommited the mouse.com since I dont need it, because this DVD will be a totally free from user input. All they do is choose DVD boot and computer will re-image and reboot. AWESOME!
This place ROCKS!!

Hello,
I was able to make a bootable CD that went into ghost, but I then was not able to see the CD drive while in ghost.  How can I make a bootable DVD that is seen in ghost as well?
