Self-restoring OS Installation after a crush or OS corruption

We see this with laptops. If something really bad happens to the Operating System, you can invoke a restoration by using some keyboard combinations. Like HP is F11,Acer Alt+F10. How can this be done for desktops? Or something similar? May be with ghost?

I'm not talking about Deep Freeze!

With TeraByte products you can create an automated restore DVD. Just boot from the DVD and press "Yes".
