So, I doubt I'm the only one that wants to know what happened with the possum.

It was GONE in the morning. I had shut the lid and put a heavy box on it .. to ensure the possum didn't climb out and into bed with me while I slept.
I almost doubted it was really there .. cuz it seemed so unreal .. but the water was very dirty and smelled horrible .. like wet dog .. if you know that smell. Took several hours for the stench to go away.
So the only way it coulda went was DOWN the pipe. Some say that suggests it came up that way .. which is what I think. (The toilet flushed fine.)
Late at night my brain was turned off and I was totally baffled .. as to how it got there and what to do about it.
A block away, yesterday, I saw a dead BIG possum in the road .. maybe its momma or dada.
I never sit down on the throne any more without turning on the light.
Some say it's not so bizarre that an animal would come up thru the sewer.
i'll make an entry on the home page.

Hey, be a good sport now and do it in the dark. The rest of us will do some serious betting ...

Okay--let's place our bets!!!
I bet that wee little pointer thing may go first!!!--jewels second!!!
Yikes!!!
Well, the sewer pipes are *empty* unless you are flushing, or draining a tub or sink--unless there's a blockage by an oversize *turd*--but you'd know about that--so I guess if an animal has access through an open man-hole or broken pipe somewhere--then they could roam around in there. And the pipes on the first floor probably don't have a *long* way down before turning horizontally--I could imaging a young possum figuring out how to shimmy its way up the pipe--but to want to navigate through the water trap in the bottom of the toilet--boy--that's one motivated possum!
And then to go back the same way it came in!!!--smart little bugger, it is!!!

the other day, i noticed a rotor-rooter truck pull up in front of the neighbor's house .. brand new house, just built several months ago. As the guys walked up to their front door, I couldn't help but wonder...

Sir, you cut me to the quick.
You must be refering to the 'wingless 747'.
aka "the monster".
No doubt the possum would think it had stumbled upon a python.
