How do I add a NIC driver to my Ghost image.
Jul 30th, 2010 at 6:45am

Please can someone out there help me in adding an additional nic driver to my ghost image using Ghost Explorer. I am using Ghost version 8. I have downloaded the driver, opened up the ghost image using Ghost Explorer, I am then presented with the following folders:
$win_nt$.~bt
$win_nt$.~ls
Recycler
System Volume Information.

Apart from the last two folders where do I copy the new driver to?

You can't add files to a backup image. It is strictly read only. Unless I misunderstand your question.

Install the NIC driver into your Windows XX OS and then make a new backup image file.  Then the image will contain the new driver.  It has to be installed INTO windows anyway,
so it can be properly entered into the registry, not just tacked on to it.

Windows Explorer will let you recover files or folders from a Ghost Image but you can't add anything to it.  It's Read Only.
