Hardware Issues - Seagate DiscWizard and Ghost 2003
Aug 23rd, 2010 at 1:01pm

Old HP Pavilion 8674D with 384MB RAM (max for this old PC) running WinXP SP3 for which no USB drives are seen by Ghost 2003 when booted to Ghost CD, but Seagate DiscWizard sees all USB drives.  The issue with Ghost is probably due to driver issues I suspect, and I'm unsure I could find drivers for such an old PC.

DiscWizard sees all USB drives connected and creates image to any USB drive, but validation fails if USB flash drive is connected to any USB port as does image to external hard drive connected to USB 2.0 port.  However, image validation completes successfully only when external hard drive is connected to USB 1.1 port.  FYI the USB 1.1 ports are the original ones on the PC while the USB 2.0 ports are via a NEC PCI USB 2.0 adapter.  Has anybody experienced such USB problems using Seagate DiscWizard?
