Run a script just after restore
Sep 24th, 2010 at 6:31am

Hello @ Smiley

I'm stucked at a step that i can't get over...

I have imaged a Win XP with Norton Ghost 14 with configuration set in order to work in a domain and with a default name, and here comes the problem, once windows is loaded, the name is duplicated (of course!).
What I need is to find a way to run a script just after the image has been restored to ask an input of a new name for the computer.

I already did the script to do that, I just need to find the way how to run it just once and just after the restore.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Jose.

I've no idea with Ghost but you can change a computer name before the OS boots with TBOSDT. Pro version, not the free version.

See page 35 in tbosdt.pdf

http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/tbosdt.htm

Let us know if this is suitable.
