Daylight Savings Time

In "options" you can tick a box to "enable automatic Daylight Savings Time change". Does it work on your computers? It doesn't on mine (with IE8 if that matters).

What program are you referring to?
I find the option to control *daylight savings* by right clicking on the the time in the in the *System Tray* area of the Task Bar (far right side on my desktop), selecting *Adjust Date/Time*, and going to the *Time Zone* tab, and at the bottom of that dialog box there's a check box to enable automatic daylight savings time adjustments.
That function has worked on my systems for years without a problem. I've seen occasional updates for time zone adjustments from Windows Update that needed to be downloaded/installed.

My *bad*!
I see you are referring to the *User CP* (Control Panel) of the forum software, *Profile*, and then *Options*.
My *box* is checked. But, I've never paid any attention to that setting! I thought the system's clock setting takes care of that--so I'm not sure what the forum software is supposed to do with that setting?!
I know you have to set the *Time Offset* to have the forum show your *local* time, rather than the server's time in Chicago, IL--USA--Central Time Zone.
So, your time is not based on your system's time settings?

Yes, I refer to the Forum Software > User CP > Profile > Options. The box for "enable automatic Daylight Savings Time change" is ticked but the time has not been set back an hour. The system time is 16:55 (correct and automatically set back one hour by XP SP3) but at the top left corner in the Forum, it reads 17:55 (when I refresh the page it gets updated). If I untick the box, the forum time gets correct. Nothing automatic about it ...

Wouldn't this be the same issue we discussed before?

Today is when our USA daylight savings time changes--my forum clock has updated appropriately!
I wonder if those places where they do not use *daylight savings time*--if they now have a forum time that's an hour off?
Maybe that's what checking or unchecking that *Enable automatic Daylight Savings Time change?* in the User CP Options area is all about!
What happened on your system?

When I rechecked the box, nothing happened. I think you have found the reason. We in Europe are ahead of you guys in the U.S. ...
