http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/downloads/beta/bootitbm_en.zipThis beta does not include the disk imaging utility Image for
DOS (GUI), however if IMAGE.EXE is found in the partition an option
to run it will appear on the maintenance desktop. Also the memory
requirements will be higher than BootIt Next Generation for certain
operations.
Known Issues that will be corrected in later betas:
*) Video issues related to flickers/slowness
*) Last path in file dialog used but not updated on status
*) Delete key doesn't do anything in File Dialog
*) Clicking columns with mouse on file dialog prevents keyboard selection.
*) Can't Import/Export colors via a separate file.
*) Keyboard mapping is not currently supported.
Ability to restore .IMG files will require booting a V1 copy of Image
for DOS, Image for Linux, Image for Windows, or BootIt Next Generation.
Obsolete:
*) Backup/Restore option for backup/restore of first track. (considering
if a general "sector capture" routine would be useful).
*) Use of the third party UDMA utility. No longer needed as BootIt BM
supports direct access to devices.
*) Partition Imaging - will be replaced with Image for DOS (GUI), Image
for DOS can be used currently which supports entire drive operations
or single partition.
New Items:
*) Runs in protected mode so additional features won't be a
problem (BING hit limits)
*) The Limit primaries option can be controlled on individual drives
(however the global option in settings works like the older BING
version did and changes all drives)
*) Drive geometry can be overridden (note that many settings on the
dialog are there for disk imaging use)
*) GPT support for partitioning (not booting).
*) Multi-OS supports other file systems (for non-FAT type the boot
sector is not controlled; you would use it to change files on boot
only).
*) Direct support for PATA/SATA hard drives (by passing the BIOS for IO)
*) Resizing Ext2/3/4 directly as well as edit file option for them.
*) Several other items..
