Ghost recovery procedure
Jan 23rd, 2011 at 1:28pm

No doubt a naive question, however, if I am faced with having to restore a partition, do I simply select the latest Recovery Point, regardless as to whether it is a Base Recovery Point or an Incremental Recovery Point?  Or do I select the latest Base Recovery Point plus the Incremental Recovery Points created since?

Regards.....Noel

Noel,

Ghost makes it easy to restore a recovery point. Just choose the one that was taken on the day that you think your OS was OK.

For example, say you had B (baseline), I1 (incremental), I2, I3, I4, I5 and I6. If you want to restore to the day I4 was taken, just choose I4. Ghost will automatically use B, I1, I2 and I3 as well. All recovery points need to be in the same folder.

Once again Brian, very many thanks for your response.  It really couldn't be clearer.

Why can't Norton Support understand my queries and reply accordingly?

Regards and again thanks.....Noel
