help w/netscape vs outlook express
Aug 23rd, 2001 at 2:09am

user has been running oe 5, but decides to install and switch to netscape communicator 4.76. after configuring netscape can only send mail from it not receive it......mail arrives in oe.  so he  disables oe as default mailer and removes connection settings but still can only send with netscape and not receive. all DUN settings for his isp appear okay in netscape (server type, incoming and outgoing mail server addresses, etc.). the general system setting for default email reads netscape.
what is preventing netscape from receiving messages?

wish i could help, but i don't use either nutscrape or dial-up networking. i would suggest that said user ditch nutscrape and get a broadband connection. their life will immediately be more rewarding. this might help:

if they're anti-microsoft, opera will work well:
