Above, notice the Intel Pentium 4 CPU #640. Intel continues to 'evolve' the way they name (number) their CPUs, confusing many in the process. See HERE for clarification. Notice also this is one of the new 0.09-micon Intel Prescott CPU's, with the new LGA775 packaging (LGA = Land Grid Array, which basically means the pins are now on the motherboard, instead of the processor). This is a 3.2-GHz CPU (actually 3.188-GHz) with 2-MB L2 cache. Notice also the Intel i925x chipset, with the new PCI-Express (X16) graphics interface. This is the performance version of their new chipsets.

Below, we see data pertaining to the DDR2 memory (double data rate-2), running at 266-MHz (265.5 measured), manufactured by Samsung, the company who invented D-RAM. This particular PC came with two 512-MB sticks installed, for a total of 1-GB. It also has two free slots (4 total), so more can be added at a later date, if necesary.
