Business Office: (9) Confirmation that all budgeted funds have been deposited with the Business Office Note on (9): DEPOSIT OF FUNDS WITH BUSINESS OFFICE: In order for production to begin for any semester, all funds required by the hard-cost (frozen) budget must be deposited with the Business Office of the school before production begins or by the CNTV greenlight deadline, whichever comes sooner. (See Advanced Production Calendar, included in 581/587 packets issued by the Office of the Director of Production). If the student fails to deposit the money, a production number will not be issued. PREREQUISITE TO RECEMNG FINAL GREEN LIGHT FOR PRODUCTION: To receive the flnal "Green Light" for production the student needs: (10) To sign the statement of understanding on the 581 Master Approval Form signifying the student's acceptance of the rules governing 581 (11) The signature of the Production Chair on the 581 Master Approval Form In order to receive your final "Green Light" for production, the student must submit a completed Master Approval Form to the Production Chair. The completed form must include signatures from the above listed people/departments (the Mentor, Director of Student Affairs, Director of Production, Sound Department, Post-Production Supervisor, Business Office) that each of them has received and approved the elements that pertain to them. Keep a duplicate copy of all forms. Once the Production Chair has verified that you have received all the required approvals, you will receive the final "Green Light" for production. ALTERATIONS IN ORIGINAL "GREENLIGHTED" PRODUCTION PLAN: Any alterations in the original greenlighted plan must be approved by both your Mentor and the Director of Production. POSSIBLE REASONS FOR CANCELLATION OF 581 PROJECTS: The school may cancel support for a project if 1. There is egregious disregard for safety of personnel, property or equipment, or disregard of the law. Read the USC Safety Guidelines! They could save your life, your money and your time! 2. USC Principles of Community are not observed by all participants. (See page 2 of the SCAMPUS Guidebook for Students, issued by USC at the start of each academic year). 3. There are egregious, unapproved alterations in the original greenlighted production plan (script, fundraising plan, crew list, budget, shooting schedule, etc.) An alterations must be approved by both your Mentor and the Director of Production. 4. Insufficient Progress (according to the Guidelines or as determined by the Mentor)
